St. Vincent de Paul Society
The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul is a global lay Catholic organization.
Our mission is to live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the Poor with love, respect, justice and joy.
As members of the Society, we Vincentians:
- see Christ in anyone who suffers
- come together as a family
- have personal contact with the poor
- help in all possible ways
This ministry is very fulfilling and rewarding. Not only will you do God’s work, you will meet like-minded people and come together as a family in Christ. We need you! Pastoral Care
The Pastoral Care committee visits members of the parish who are ill or confined to their homes or hospital beds. By extending kindness, friendship, a listening ear, or by bringing Holy Communion, or offering a prayer, the pastoral Care Committee insures that the bond of community is maintained even when presence in person is impossible.
As well our Pastor celebrates Mass at Dickensfield Extended Care every Friday, where Eucharist is brought to those who are unable to attend Mass.
