About Us

We are a varied and diverse community and we come in all shapes and sizes; we vary in looks and in ages.  We all hold much in common, sharing a belief and a commitment to our Catholic faith.

We want our parish to be vibrant, welcoming, prayerful, and successful; it is up to each person in the parish to do his or her part.

The Archdiocese of Edmonton, of which we are members, is committed to a program of Stewardship.  Each member, from the youngest to the oldest, from the smallest to the biggest, is needed to share their time, talent and treasure.  Many of you are already involved in ministries and serve the church in varied ways.

We are all children of God and have much to gain by partnership and teamwork.  We are all members of the Body of Christ.  We are his Church.

May God bless the people of St. Matthew Parish.

St. Matthew Catholic Church Mission Statement

We, at St. Matthew Catholic Parish, are a gathering of Christian people from a variety of cultures. Under the direction of our Archbishop and with the guidance of our parish leadership we are called to form a community of worship and service.

Inspired by our Baptismal calling to be the followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to build a warm and welcoming faith community that finds its expression in meaningful liturgical celebrations and responding in ministry to the diverse needs of God’s people.

In this way, we will continue the mission of Christ in our world today.
